As promised we are going to try and introduce you to young people that will be going on the Project 24 trip in June under the auspices of the Mary Okeyo scholarship fund. This is Rebecca Marcis and here is her story………….
Bekah Marcis, 22, was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota where she lived until she began school at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She will be graudating in May of 2012 with a degree in Social Work and a minor in Sociology. Bekah has a passion for sports and has played soccer since she could walk. It’s taken her all over the world, from California and New York to Thailand and Cambodia. She finished her last season of soccer this year, acting as captain of the Concordia women’s team. When she’s not playing sports she’s hanging out with friends, doing homework, or singing. Bekah is one of the worship leaders at her church, Crosspointe Lutheran, in Fargo, North Dakota. She’s very excited to graduate and use the many blessings that God has given her to help those that she comes in contact with.
