We have been talking about Deaconess Eunita’s whirlwind trip around the Minnesota North and North Dakota Districts. She has spoken and visited with people from Grand Forks to Dickinson, and from Hankinson to St. Cloud and Willmar. This is also the time when we start looking for the progress that we have made in fund raising for the Project 24 centers, 1001 Orphans and the Mary Okeyo fund for travel. Last year was a good year but like everything else the initial excitement wears down and folks get back to other things. We hope to carry that excitement forward.
We are getting close to having the Mary Okeyo fund far enough forward to send another group over in the spring or early summer. Please consider giving a generous gift to send more folks over to participate in the life and ministry of our friends in Kenya. We are also taking new student applications so if you are interested call your District Offices and ask for a form. All the former applicants are automatically put back into the “hamper” as they say.
