I evidently hit some nerve in one of my posts. I get pretty much the same responses that I was expecting – “it may be true for you but that doesn’t mean its true for everyone.” I grew up in a world where if I went outside in the morning and there was four feet of snow on the ground my next door neighbors and most of the people in my town had been snowed upon. Or so I thought. We may not have all gotten four feet but we got snow. Now I guess we were snowed upon only if we believe we were. Creating your own reality can be dangerous but it seems to be the way of the world. No wonder Christians are being set upon more and more. We think we have the truth, and that in this world, is a great sin. There is a “father of lies” and his family is growing. (Jo)hn 8:44
George Costanza made a great statement one time that I think about alot. He said to Jerry Seinfeld, “remember, it’s not a lie if you believe it”.
He and Jerry used to talk about the “bizzaro world” where everything was the opposite. I think we are there. We have fallen down some cosmic rabbit hole and where we come out will be interesting. The statement below from Hermann Sasse really got the most heat. I wonder why?
