bridgeset

There are moments when everything combines to take your breath away.  A rather homely bridge becomes an impressive monument to light and color, and even the dirty snow has possibilities of pattern and texture that were never noticed before.  Epiphany is the time to see God’s glory.  The Psalmist says, “Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forever. 3From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the LORD is to be praised. 4The LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens.…Psalm 113

Matthew Henry wrote, “God has praise from his own people. They have most reason to praise him; for those who attend him as his servants, know him best, and receive most of his favors, and it is easy, pleasant work to speak well of their Master. God’s name ought to be praised in every place, from east to west. Within this wide space the Lord’s name is to be praised; it ought to be so, though it is not.”

God has praise from his own people.  Sadly that is not quite true anymore.  More and more we hear talk of a churchless Christianity and a Christian less Church.  We will think about that more , but for now check out that sunset.
