This is the season of light and we have been preaching about and looking at light for weeks. In Christ’s light, the Bible says, we see light. There is an interesting promise in Isaiah. “If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted . . .” (Isaiah 58:9b, 10a) And here is his promise: “. . . then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday” (v. 10b). Or as Jesus once said “let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Resolution.
