I have never seen this picture before and I found it intriguing. My Father and his family were raised on the Western edge of the Turtle Mountains in North Dakota not far from the International Peace Gardens. This is a picture of my Uncle Gordon. I have no idea when it was taken. I remember my Dad telling me stories about cutting posts for the pastures and how they would haul the posts from the hills with horses.
So here is a test for millennials. What is in Gordons right hand?

no the thing that looks like a badge is the pulley for the stretcher
