The Harmattan is a dry wind that blows from December to March from the Sahara towards the West African coast. It is a wind that carries a lot of dust and is hard on animals and people. It might come from a Arabic word that means “forbidden”. One Nigerian author called it “a dreadful season with many troubles”. Al Collver the Director of Church relations is in Nigeria for some meetings and sent this picture of the Harmattan sky. Pray for our brothers and sisters and our missionaries in West Africa in this dreadful season full of troubles and remember all of our missionaries around the world.
