Lots of stuff going on today. Here is a picture from the latest Project 24 Cathechetical club where the students from the various Centers go and have competitions of memorization, a depiction they make of Bible stories, and acting out Gospel lessons. During this 2-3 day event the students enjoy fellowship, recite passages from the bible, sing, act out stories from the bible and have competitions. This August everyone traveled to the southwestern side of Kenya, just outside of Kisii, where Project 24/Rongo was the host location. The theme…”Defend Your Faith” from 1Peter 3:15.
Second, today is the anniversary of 9/11. We have a generation again that did not live through those days and I hope we keep up the effort to remember and never allow anyone to forget.
Third I found out this morning these sad details. This from President Arie Bertsch –
Sophia Brademeyer fell asleep in Christ this morning. She was almost five weeks old. She was baptized into the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior and in those waters was given the gift of faith and thus received the promise of the forgiveness of sins and with it life and salvation. A prayer service will be held Thursday evening at St. John’s Lutheran at 7:00 PM. Her funeral will be held at St. John’s Lutheran, Oakes on Friday at 10:30 A.M. Please keep Chris and Katherine and their three sons in your prayers as they grieve as Christians the death of Sophia. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Please remember that family your prayers.
