Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Waiting on the Lord means just that -waiting. We are always waiting on something and for most of us it is not easy and it is certainly not productive. Waiting for results from the central planning enthusiasts who ever they may be, whether in government, board rooms, school districts or a city planning offices, is not fruitful but can be exasperating. We are waiting because everything is in flux including planned weddings, graduations, confirmations and even funerals. As always man proposes and God disposes, and so as always we wait on the Lord. From the fearful who believe that instead of rising up on wings like eagles we will fall on our rear ends I don’t have a lot of patience. That right now is at a premium.
Interesting, I recently received a message with encouragement to be faithful. As in faithful in what God gives you today. You write of being productive. It seems both have in common: doing. As we wait on the Lord, I am reminded of 1 Tim 4:16. I leave the reference so to give everyone something to do.
