Minnesota north district have the new workers orientation combined with a retired worker appreciation luncheon at Maddens on November 20. It is a great illustration of dedication. Young pastors starting out are prayerfully in the ministry for the long haul. In fact there has always been a discussion as to whether or not pastors should retire. That is not to denigrate the retired workers in attendance because many of them are Preaching and filling in in many different places so the dedication never ends.
Anyway 91 retired and new District Workers attended the picnic at the new Pavillion at Madden’s. They had gourmet picnic food, lemonade and iced tea. Entertainment was provided by Dave and Sabra Horn.
Blessings on them all.
Just to correct this post; it happened two days ago on August 20th, as I was in attendance. I am guessing this was a test to see if anybody reads your blog. Do I win a prize?
