A complete training event, sponsored by LCMS Disaster Response will take place at
Shepherd’s Hill at the Crossroads (SHCR), September 16-17. This LERT (Lutheran Early
Response Training) event is complete with the latest safety equipment, chainsaws,
and best-practice techniques. I will not be training. Rev. Ed Brashier,
Southern LCMS District Disaster Response Coordinator will be. Pastor Ed is a second career
pastor who was a power company lineman and professional tree surgeon for 20 years
before answering the call to pastoral ministry.
