Congratulations to the Rev. Matthew Harrison at his reelection as President of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. It has been my pleasure to serve with Pastor Harrison when he was the director of the Board for Human Care Ministries, and in my time on the Board for International Missions. Harrison is a pillar for mercy work and a strong leader in Lutheran Identity and our Joyful Confession of Faith.
This is a picture from his talk at the LWML Convention. His hair is gray which it wasn’t when I met him, but neither was mine. He has dedicated his life to the proclamation of Christ as Savior and our task of caring for the neighbor because Christ calls us to do so.
I pray for his continued health, his staunch confession of the faith, and continued leadership of our church body and invite you all to do the same.
