I just realized that I cut and pasted Rv. Harrison’s letter twice. It’s embarrassing but probably a good thing. That opening line alone should be memorized and inwardly digested – “For centuries, Lutherans have joyfully delivered Christ’s mercy to others and embraced His call to care for the needy within our communities and around the world.” It is still going on today. The Lutherans in the Southern Hemisphere want to be Lutheran and they want to deliver Christ and His mercy to others. Thye do it with our help and without it. I like to be a part of it.
Out in the middle of nowhere at Wamba we came across Luther Salon – I’m not sure what it was. I don’t believe it was a hair salon but Luther’s Seal was proudly displayed. That is reassuring.
