“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.…” Isaiah 55:9-11. I have been thinking about the middle portion of this passage for several weeks – the rain and snow falling from heaven part. I always have to remember the first part. God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not ours. That is good thing like the passage that says that God does not give us more than we can handle but our trials and tribulations are tailor made for us. Someone once said that they wished God did not trust them so much in the trials and tribulation area.
Anyway folks are starting to get a bit grumpy and frustrated. There is a lot of reminding that this is February and winter is passing. There is also a lot of reminding that we can get some brutal blizzards in April. We have mentioned on this blog that up in the North country we talk about weather as if it were an entity. It always gives us something to talk about anyway.
