On Thursday January 6th, Deaconess Eunita traveled to Prince of Peace Lutheran School in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. The K-8 students warmly welcomed her and enjoyed an afternoon of learning. Eunita started the afternoon with a presentation involving the entire student body. Using pictures as a guide, Eunita shared her life in Kenya. The students learned about daily life in Kenya, some of the struggles, and what a deaconess does. After the presentation, students returned to their classrooms and Eunita continued to bless the school by visiting with students. It was very evident in her presentation and her personal interactions with the children that she has a passion for working in God’s Kingdom! Eunita displayed God’s love and light to all she met that day!
As Eunita toured the school, she was able to interact with each individual classroom. Eunita was able to see some things the students were learning/doing that day and answer any questions they had.
God was at work in the timing of this visit as well. Each month the school selects a chapel project to raise money or items for. In January, the school is collecting funds for Project 24. Last year they collected school supplies for Rongo Lutheran School in Kenya and this year they are collecting funds for another school to purchase textbooks. The students at Prince of Peace know more than the average school about Kenya as Candice Bicondoa, fourth grade teacher, traveled to Kenya in June. Next month the students will be collecting funds for the Children’s Bible Clubs. This is another project under Project 24.
It was a true blessing to have Eunita visit with the students and faculty of Prince of Peace. May God continue to bless His work throughout the entire world.
