Evangelical preachers are like the man trying to convince the shop owner tha the parrot is dead except we’re trying to talk about the law – it’s dead it’s finished. Yeah we’re surrounded by people who tell us we need to get back to the law because we live in a world now that has said that there is no law. For the law always will raise it’s head and even those who have done away with the law will be legalistic. It wasn’t enough that we should love our neighbors as ourselves but now we have to feel guilt over white privilege; we need to take reeducation courses about how to talk to women and we have to tear everything down in order build something up whose outlines are hideous
