Received this from Pastor Filipik who is the Mercy coordinator for the North Dakota District. I was quite taken with it and offer it to you for consideration –
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who was, who is, and who is to come.
“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon
him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”
(Is. 53:5) As you well know, in these dark and latter days, our focus remains not on
darkness, but on the light of Christ; not on fear, but the peace of Christ which
surpasses all our understanding; not on the illness that enshrouds us and
encompasses us, but on Jesus, the great Physician of body and soul. For only in the
wounds of our crucified, risen, reigning Lord and Savior Jesus Christ do we have the
light of life, the peace of reconciliation that comes from sins forgiven, and the
medicine of immortality: his very own body and blood..
