This from Bill Sharpe the North Dakota District Business Manager.
There’s been great deal of progress with Project 24 this year. There are now 4 “boarding schools” serving 140 children. The Kenyans decided that “boarding school” was a better term to use than “rescue center”. And, we have dropped the term “orphan” in favor of “at risk” children. The word “orphan” has a slightly different meaning to the Kenyans than to us. Again, this is the preference of the Kenyans.
3 of us were in Kenya in late August/early September. The one picture shows the dedication of the school at Kisumu. It’s called Tumaini which mean hope in Swahili. It is for girls.
