I get criticized a lot on this blog for my syntax, punctuation, and sometimes my spelling. I have said before that my model for writing is Cormack McCarthy but no one listens. I may get a little sloppy sometimes but nothing compares to the silliness of some headline writers. Today I read a topper – “alligator bites women while trimming bushes”.
So the questions – why do people use alligators to trim bushes? Are they good at it? Are they pet alligators? Do they just have a sense of proportion on the aesthetics of lawn care? Can they do topiary?
It has been a long week and I needed a diversion and this was it. So if you need a diversion, can you finish the sentence in the title of this piece?
In response to the title challenge, I might suggest if your pajamas are large enough for an elephant to wear, perhaps you should consider a good weight-loss program.
