All of us who have gone to Kenya and lived with the people and had them take us into their homes and churches and lives have fond memories of their kindness. Their resiliency in trial and tribulation and boundless joy in the Gospel are infectious and we all know it was a privilege to be partners with them in mission and ministry. We still are and folks in Minnesota and North Dakota are still working to help with the churches child education and boarding schools, medical missions and mercy trips. Bob Wurl who has traveled there several times set up a “Kenya” room in his house to remember his time there.
We are trying to do more than reminisce however. On January 14th the Popple Ridge Pickers are coming to Grafton North Dakota and the All Faiths Chapel. Chapel worshippers have taken offering for years. One of the projects they supported was help for the Minot flooding recovery. They chose Project 24 as their continuing effort and over the years have helped tremendously. The Popple Ridge Pickers heard about the Project and wanted to help. They are presenting concert of praise and worship songs at 4 pm January 14 2018.
