Hi! My name is Christiana Woltersand I am from Dickinson, ND. I am 19 and currently a Lay Ministry pre-deaconess student at Concordia UnivserityWisconsin, studying theology and missions. I grew up in rural Minnesota, the second youngest out of 5 kids. My dad, a pastor, took a call to Redeemer, Dickinson almost 6 years ago and since then I have been getting used to North Dakota, meeting many wonderful new people. I participated in Lutheran Youth Fellowship, both in my home congregation and in the district, helping at district gatherings, and enjoying every minute of it.
Music makes up a large part of what I enjoy doing. I play organ, piano, and guitar, and am thankful for the opportunity to be one of the organists at my home church, Redeemer. Here at Concordia, I sing in the Chorale Choir and play in the Chapel Ringers hand bellchoir. I also participate in our Students for Life group, LIGHT women’s ministry, and am volunteering to help with the Beautiful Feet Missions Conference being held here at Concordia this coming fall. I hope to graduate in 2014 and attend one of our synodicalseminaries to become a deaconess.
I am thankful and excited for this trip to witness to God’s people in Kenya, and also for the opportunity to grow in faith and in service to those who are going and to those we will meet there.
