The Bible is full of concern that love and mercy be shown to the alien and the foreigner. The people of Israel were constantly reminded that they at one time were migrants and aliens in Egypt. Paul and Peter both say that Christians should regard themselves as “foreigners and exiles”. That is our attitude and our understanding of ourselves and others, but what is happening on the Southern border is criminal. It is not mercy. It is not humanitarian. What is happening in Texas is inhumane and illegal from our own understanding of who we are as a people and is the direct result of the leadership of this country. This humanitarian disaster is the direct result of statements made by the so called leader of the free world and it is beyond imagination. He has offered no legislation to fix or even ameliorate the situation and yet blames the other party for the problem. The other party has been complicit as well. In the never ending search for never ending voters the feckless poltroons will bend over backwards to ignore the stupid laws that they pass. From the IRS to the Veterans Administration, to the EPA, to the DHS, to the NSA, to Fast and Furious, the Federal Government appears to be either incompetent, or it has become criminal. If people got together and put veterans on a deliberate hold to keep them from seeing a Dr. in a timely manner that is a conspiracy. To do this to get a bonus is a conspiracy. When some one dies because of it, it is, well…. criminal. When you put forward a “dream act” without any way of caring for or handling the tsunami of humanity that you (if you have a brain) know are going to show up, that is criminal.
intolerance, and you have created a religion that worships that self and what the “State” can do to protect the “self”. It is difficult when the “state” that offers to care for every need can’t even get an appointment for a veteran. Thank God for groups like the “Wounded Warrior Project” who do for free what the “state” confiscates taxes for and then wastes. Think of all the things that the state has taken over from education, to health care, to the environment, to the power grid and then listen to radio stations and watch TV and listen to the appeals for volunteers in the classroom, to teach reading, to work in community food pantries and on an on it goes. Yet every year we pay more money in taxes and get less and less in return Right now we serve as useful dupes. We are still needed to do what the government still cannot always do. It is Christian groups supplying care and food and clothing. I haven’t seen the Red Crescent anywhere on the southern border.
There will come a day when the “state” will see the Christian no longer as a useful dupe but as an active enemy and then we will see real persecution. I will write why I think we have reached that point later. Right now read this –
HOUSTON, Texas –A tidal wave of illegal immigrants along the U.S.-Mexico border has caused federal housing and processing facilities to become overwhelmed and overcrowded. As a result, officials have resorted to a makeshift housing center in Nogales, Arizona, especially for the surge of thousands of children who were part of the influx. They are being transported there via plane. Many of the minors at one facility — which only opened on Friday — are reportedly being sickened by the food — and throwing the food in the trash.
Jimena Díaz, consul general of Guatemala in Phoenix, told the Arizona Daily Star that most of the individuals at the housing facility are between the ages of 15 and 17. Almost all of the are from Guatemala, El Salvador, or Honduras. Deporting individuals from these countries has proven more difficult than deporting Mexican crossers.
Thousands of such illegal immigrants are simply released onto U.S. soil each week. Some of the released aliens are even criminals–as Breitbart Texas previously reported, more than 36,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens were released by U.S. authorities in 2013 alone.
The sharp increase in illegal immigration shows no signs of slowing down. Word has apparently spread in Central and South America that aliens are being released at a rapid rate — this could be encouraging more families and individuals to make the dangerous trip north.
Father Heyman Vazquez, the director of a migrant shelter in Mexico, told CBS Houston that children are encouraged to cross into the U.S. illegally because they think they will be given amnesty. Vazquez said, “I remember a little boy of 9 years old and I asked if he was going to go meet someone and he told me ‘No, I’m just going to hand myself over because I hear they help kids.'”
Texas Senator Ted Cruz recently told Breitbart Texas that the Obama Administration’s “lawlessness” is responsible for the recent sharp increase in illegal immigration.
“One of the consequences were seeing on the border is a humanitarian crisis that is a direct consequence of Obama’s lawlessness,” Cruz said. “The parents think, ‘If I send my child [to the U.S.], my child will have amnesty.’ That’s what the president of the U.S. has said. It is the exact opposite of a humane approach to immigration or to securing our borders.”
