Project 24 is moving ahead nicely. The LCMS area Director for Eastern and Southern Africa says it is moving along and the progress is “wonderfully impressive”. After some problems and confusion the projects are being monitored and the manager, Kissinger Nyang’au is constantly working to see that all the partners are kept in the loop and informed.
Part of Project 24 difficulties was a breakdown in ownership between local congregations and the diocese or the national church. Those issues have been worked out and Project 24 is considered a very important part of the mission strategy for East Africa.
