I knew about this before from movies and books I had read. Each time you enter a room you take your shoes off. I am preaching for and participating in meetings of the regional directors and missionaries for the LCMS around the world. We have morning prayer every morning and vespers every evening and it is a beautiful thing to be a part of. We are meeting at the offiices in Taiwan.
I preach in the morning and at night and am considered the chaplain and it is a great time. I thought I might get preached out but that hasn’t happened yet in fact I have a whole bunch of new ideas.
My biggest problem here has been remembering where I have put my shoes. We meet in one place, have coffee in another, church in another, and it gets confusing sometimes. I have not walked off with anyone else’s shoes yet so that is a good thing.
