Sundays Old Testament lesson was about Joseph reconciling with his murderous hateful brothers when they came to Egypt where they sold him into slavery. This painting shows the creepy nasty brothers telling their ailing Father that his favorite son has been killed and showing the bloody clothes that they had staged. The two behind the old man really get me. It looks like one is bored and wants this all done and over with. The other looks like he is trying not to laugh. I said the little lapping dog is the only comfort the old man will have in the rest of his short life.
