For us folks up here in the North land Concordia University in St. Paul is kind of a big deal. It is my Alma Mater and my wife’s too. I spent two years there before I went on to the Senior College at Fort Wayne, The senior college has since been transformed into Concordia Theological seminary in Fort Wayne. Anyway Tom Reis has been the Chancellor or the President or whatever the title is for quite a while now and a retirement party was held for him this week. I met Tom when he was CFO of the LCMS and I was the Board Chair for Lutheran World Relief and Human Care.
