The folks gathered at this service get up and bring their offerings to the altar as the Spirit moves them. Even the poorest of the poor can give something and they do. The true meaning of offerings is thus given form and shape. As Paul say to the Corinthians, “first they gave themselves to the Lord”……………………..This is not just an exchange of money, or a transaction were we renounce some of what we have. It is our sacrifice of our self interest to the one who gives us all we need.
